From the moment you arrive at El Encuentro Lodge, it feels like stepping into a place you already know. A heartfelt welcome sets the tone as you settle into warm, comfortable spaces that instantly feel like home.

Set along the banks of the Río Futaleufú with sweeping views of the Andes, the lodge offers a front-row seat to Patagonia’s beauty. With space for only ten guests, the atmosphere remains intimate and personal.

El Encuentro was the first lodge built by the Beale family—a gathering place where friends and family came together to share time on the water. For more than forty years, the family has opened its doors to sporting guests from across the globe, many of whom return year after year to experience the lodge’s special blend of remarkable hunting, fishing, and genuine Argentine hospitality.

Accommodations include three guest rooms in the main house (one with ensuite, two with private baths across the hall) and two additional ensuite rooms in a nearby cottage. The lodge also offers reliable Starlink satellite internet, ensuring you stay connected when needed.

Meals highlight what the region provides best: organic produce from the on-site garden, locally raised lamb and beef, and daily house-baked breads. Each meal is paired with outstanding Argentine wines, even when lunch is served riverside. We know you’ll enjoy returning to the lodge each evening after a successful day outdoors.
